Jimmy "Doug" Kennedy

Jimmy Douglas “Doug” Kennedy, son of Evelyn Patrick and the late Ofeanure “Jim” Patrick, was born on August 27, 1967, in Meridian, Mississippi. He departed this life on July 26, 2026, in Forest, Mississippi, at the age of 58.

Doug received his education through the Forest Public School District and graduated from Forest High School. Throughout his life, he was known as a friendly salesman with a personality that could light up any room. Doug never met a stranger. His outgoing spirit, warm smile, and loving heart made him someone people naturally gravitated toward. He cherished spending time with family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand or share a laugh.

Doug was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. The love he had for his family was evident in everything he did, and the memories he created with those he loved will forever be treasured.

Jimmy Douglas “Doug” Kennedy was preceded in death by his father, Ofeanure “Jim” Patrick.

Doug leaves to cherish his precious memories his three daughters, Lexus Kennedy, Gracie Patrick, and Jessica Patrick; his loving mother, Evelyn Patrick; his siblings, Chuckie Patrick (Barbara), Gail Butler, and Christopher Patrick (Natasha); his special friend, Janice Wilther; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many dear friends whose lives were forever touched by his love and friendship.

Doug’s kind heart, infectious smile, and unforgettable personality will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Though he is no longer with us in body, his legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched.
