Mary Louise (Boone) Stewart was born on October 5, 1954, in Scott County to the late Robert and Ruthie Boone.

A Time to Live

She attended Betty Mae Jack in Morton, MS. Later on in her early adult life, she received her GED. At an early age, she joined Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church in Morton, MS. She was a hard worker who didn’t mind helping others with their children. She met Henry “Hank” Stewart (the love of her life) up in age and they got married. She enjoyed being around her family and friends, cooking, playing solitaire and Deuces Wild, doing crossword puzzles, and watching old TV shows.

A Time to Die

Mary Louise Steward departed this life on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers (T.J. White, Robert “Lonnie” Boone, Jr., Freddrick Boone, Charles Boone, and Clyde Boone), two sisters (Minnie Pearl Pace and Mary Jewell Lewis), two nieces (Latosha Thomas and Jessica Pace), two nephews (Eric and Andrea Boone), one great grandson (Dylan Brown), and husband (Henry “Hank” Stewart).

A Time to Remember

She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Shanell (Reginald) Macon of Forest, MS, Dr. Henrietta (Pastor Antwain) Brown of Lawrence, MS, Velicia Boone of Forest, MS, one bonus daughter (Cathy Johnson) of Newton, MS, and one son Minister John (Latoya) Boone of Forest, MS. A host of grandchildren (17), great grandchildren (8), two sisters (Pauline Talley and Melissa Davis), two brothers (Sammy Boone and Kenneth Boone/whom she raised as her son). A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and one special friend (Pearline Townsend).
