With profound sadness and hearts full of cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Renata Marie Evans, who departed this earthly life on June 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with lupus. Though her journey ended far too soon, the love, laughter, and kindness she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Renata was born on September 12, 1980, to Tommie Lee Anderson and Mary Alice Anderson. She was raised in a large and loving family and learned early the importance of family, hard work, and caring for others. She graduated from Lake High School in 1999 and afterwards attended Hinds Community College. She was currently employed with Taco Bell where she dedicated many years of service.
Renata married Adam Evans and to this union five children were born. She was a loving mother to her children as they were the center of her world and her proudest accomplishments. She loved spending time with family, making memories, sharing laughter, and making sure everyone around her felt loved and cared for. To know Renata was to love her. She was known for her generous spirit, compassionate heart, and willingness to help anyone in need. Whether offering words of encouragement, opening her home, or simply lending a listening ear, she never hesitated to show up for others. Family and friends often said she would give you a meal or the shirt off her back without a second thought.
Renata also had a passion for grilling and barbecue. She could often be found on the grill, bringing family and friends together with good food and good conversation. Her grilling was enjoyed by many, but it was the love she put into everything she did that made it truly special. She possessed a beautiful smile that could brighten any room and a sense of humor that brought joy wherever she went. Renata was often the life of the party, filling gatherings with laughter, energy, and unforgettable memories.
Her ability to make others feel welcome and valued was one of her greatest gifts. Though lupus presented many challenges for her, Renata faced each obstacle with strength, determination, and grace. She fought courageously until the very end, inspiring those around her with her resilience and unwavering spirit.
Renata was preceded in death by her father, Tommie Lee Anderson.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her mother, Mary Alice Anderson; her five children, Janijah, J’dyn, Jordyn, Jaryeiah, and Jalayiah; her siblings, Johnny, Gerry (Joann), Kathy, Charles, Faranda (Melvin), Lonnie (Mary), Veronica, Jonathan, and Tyeisha (Brandon) and a bonus sister, Sedreika; her nieces and nephews, Jessica (Brian), Courtney (Terrence), Tiarra, Melvin Jr., Ra’zarious, Shaquaya, Timothy, Denarrious, Lonia, Zanaria, Jordynn, TaNia, Tyzarious, Jamarion, Kynlee, Aiden, Jonathan Jr. (JT), and Kynzlee; a special friend, Calvin Williams, and a host of other relatives, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were touched by her love and kindness.
While we mourn her absence, we celebrate a life filled with purpose, generosity, laughter, and love. Renata’s legacy lives on through the family she cherished, the friendships she nurtured, and the countless lives she impacted through simple acts of kindness. Her smile will remain in our memories, her laughter will echo in our hearts, and her love will continue to guide those who were blessed to know her. “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever missed.
