A Creation of Life
Evangelist Rosie Helen Pace was born in Conehatta, Mississippi, to the late Doc Jay and Rosie Pace. She was the eldest of eleven children and the first blessing in a large and loving family.
Education
Rosie began her early education in Union, Mississippi, and later attended East Scott School in the Mount Olive Community.
Ministry
Rosie gave her life to Christ at a young age, beginning a lifelong journey of faith and service. Answering God’s call, she stepped boldly into ministry and began preaching the gospel. Her musical journey began with her family’s singing group, The Johnson 4, and continued as the lead singer of her own gospel quartet, The Holy Spirituals of Forest, Mississippi. Rosie ministered in countless churches and communities over the years, always sharing her love for God. Her favorite song, Just Another Day, became a testament to her enduring faith. She never met a stranger and always found joy in praying, encouraging, and witnessing about the goodness of the Lord.
Work Life
Rosie made many lifelong friendships while working in various poultry processing plants, including Poultry Packing, Green Acres, and McCarty Farms.
Family
Rosie was first united in marriage to Edison Harrison Jr., and together they had two children, one of whom, Emma Harrison, preceded her in death. She later married Florzell Patrick, and their union was blessed with three more children.
Cherished Memories
Rosie leaves behind a legacy of love and faith in her four beloved children: Edison Harrison III of Steele Community; Florzell Harrison of Birmingham, Alabama; Bonnie (Geneva) Patrick of Forest, Mississippi; and Rose Mary Johnson of Walnut Grove, Mississippi. She was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren: Shelle, Broderrick, Dontavion, Willie, Laramic, Ivionne, Lamarei, LaRose, and Lamiyah, and a great-grandmother to eight.
She is also survived by three brothers: Billy Mack, James, and Willie; four sisters: Thelma, Betty, Patricia, and Debra; two great-aunts, Ada Hale and Mary Ferguson; a special friend, Iyette Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
